Design of a book about a young girl who plays baseball and wants to break standards. A creative brief was provided, where the client wants a simple book cover inspired by a retro, feminine, and abstract style, emphasizing the silhouette of a female baseball player.

This design emphasizes the abstract aspect, with the main focus on a feminine silhouette performing a sequence of baseball moves. The palette color was inspired by the locations where the story takes place, which are Mexico and San Diego; so I went for those warm colors, such as orange, yellow, red, and especially purple, to show the feminine part. The sans-serif font was ideal for the simple and clean part that the client wanted.

Then, I create an ad to advertise this book in the New York Times Bestseller. The background, which is a baseball field, was generated by AI from Adobe Firefly, prompting a background image about a baseball field and adding my book cover as style inspiration.
